From Mount Fuji… to your bath in the UK

Hi, I’m Anita, and Glowdrop began with one unforgettable soak.

It happened in Japan, at an onsen overlooking Mount Fuji. I didn’t quite know what to expect… especially when I found out the baths were separate for men and women, and I was there with just my partner. So, I did what any curious newcomer would do, I watched the locals.

First came the gentle ritual of washing and rinsing before you even touched the bath water. Then… the soak. Quiet. Warm. Steam curling in the cool air. Fuji in the distance. Just me, alone in this beautiful communal space, feeling both peaceful and alive.

The spark for Glowdrop came later, in a cosy Japanese-style apartment with a deep soaking tub. I bought some bath fizzes from a little shop, dropped one in… and in an instant, I was back at Mount Fuji. The scent, the steam, all of it.

That’s when I knew: I wanted to bring that magic home.
